This study is part of the revitalization process of downtown Port-of-Spain. Facing the bus station, and opening onto Independence Square, one of the busiest avenues in the business center, the building has a dual program. Initially, a four-story base accommodates commercial and recreational activities. Three public squares are linked together by an interior pedestrian street which channels the flow of passers-by. A slice of light in the volume, this street opens up to the entire height of the building, and buzzes with the life of the cinemas, restaurants and stores found there. A 25-story tower overlooks this podium, and mainly houses government service offices, but also conference rooms and a sports center
